What does this mean?
Before, our courses were given with a 'editions' format, and we had several editions throughout the whole year and strict registration dates.
But now, you are able to register for our courses whenever it's convenient for you, and you will have direct access to them.
It is interesting to think about the role of a food stylist. Conceptual yet very practical, creative and business oriented at the same time, you have a special skill. A skill that evokes emotion, a reaction to an image, salivation, hunger, feeling like you want to lick the page!
It is about being able to visualise an idea or concept, create an image in your mind and then thinking about that image in many ways. How could it look in real life? How will it look through the camera? Does it give the client what they want? How will it make the person flicking through the magazine feel? To make real food look natural and striking at the same time can be a challenge, behind the scenes there can often be a little surgery involved, a lot of decisions and plenty of tools and tricks of trade to help achieve the perfect shot.
This course will teach you how to see recipes, how to prepare food for photography, how to style food and how to create a beautiful image that makes you feel something. From interpreting moodboards, to managing time and making sure you work as a team on set, this course is designed to tell you what the role of a food stylist really involves.
This is an interactive self-paced online course. That means you are going to be able to access it whenever you want. At any time, day or night, whenever you have a computer, smartphone or tablet and internet connection.
The duration of the course is 5 weeks, with 12 months access. Lessons will be published following a schedule during five weeks. Then, you will have a total of 12 months to keep accessing and studying the course's contents.
You will find written lessons, examples, photographs, quizzes that autocorrect, analysis, assignments for your own practice, an internal instagram, and so on. Everything is thought so you can take the course and enjoy it at your own pace.

After years working in the corporate sales industry, Ajda decided to turn her passion for food into her profession and pursued a career as a food stylist. After assisting and training with a very successful, well renowned food stylist, she quickly fell in love with what she saw and decided to give it a go on her own. She now works for clients like Happinez, Etsy, Shell or Jamie Magazine, and currently styles food for cookbooks, commercial and editorial campaigns. Her creations focus on storytelling, her style is poetic and the images she works on are a visual reflection of her love for food.
